Thanks for making these videos. It’s been hard finding other folks with high Rx who got lasik. I had -8.25 & – 8.50 vision prior. I had lasik five days ago and my vision is currently 20/25. I wish it was a little better, but this gives me hope that they’ll continue to improve. I also have better vision in one eye right now.

@Kenko Events year and half update: I did improve and felt much better when I leveled out about 6 months after the procedure. I’m now -3.25 & -3.0. Not great but I can function around the house and reading without glasses. It has its pros and cons, my night vision is absolutely horrible compared to before the lasik and sometimes I think it was a waste of money but all in all I think it was worth it plus I can wear glasses styles I couldn’t before because of the thickness. Hope your doing well!

Gege CL has it gotten better. I got PRK 7 days ago and yes I see things but I feel like I have in an outdated contacted prescription. I really want to be able to see justas well as I do if I have on glasses or contacts. I know it’s the early stages but I do not want to have to continue to get eyeglass prescription ?

I just had lasik 5 days ago and I was -8, -8.5 with astigmatism and thin cornea. I was always told no way I’d qualify. I did a consult and was told yes I could get the procedure BUT I’ll never be at 20/20 and I’ll have to have glasses for driving and watching tv, it would be more of an enhancement . Which if yours is as bad as mine you’ll know if I can take a shower and read /see the shampoo bottles or wake up and actually see objects and blobs of color, I’m in. However 5 days later I’m very annoyed that I’m still very blurry with no glasses to fall back on. I knew what I was getting into but you don’t really factor that part in. Hoping it improves and this isn’t as good as it’s going to get.

Honestly….first thing first…..I was amazed to see you talking for so long without a break…..kudos……Second thing….I got my SMILE surgery done a month ago and my left eye is still blurry….I too couldn’t see as clearly as I would have seen with glasses/contacts……do you think I should keep my hopes alive for better vision?

Thank you so much for this video. I was -3.5 both eyes and did my SMILE surgery almost a week ago. I thought I would see clear af after a week but nah. It’s a lil better than before (without my glasses) but not as clear as it was with my glasses. Same problem as you described.

    Wow you’re on on Duracell batteries…non stop…..:)
Where did you get it done…I went to Moorfields….had it 3 days ago on left eye….still settling down…but on the follow up they said 20/20 but still a bit soft focus!
    I was -8!
